Springs' fringe benefits

- Wednesday, September 02, 2015

I’ll take some sunshine, a get-fit-quick solution, two handbags…oh and supersize the fringes please.

This spring is all about the boho, the earth child and the flower girl. Everything around us is earthy, organic and has an added fringe.  Traditionally speaking, spring has been all about the bright colours such as solid pinks, yellows and greens, but over the last few years, a welcome earthy vibe has been creeping in. And we are stoked.

So what can you do to nail your spring look? Well, anything really! The freedom and fun that comes with makeup (and gets better every season) gives you a full licence to do as you please. But it doesn’t hurt to take on a few pointers every now and then…

Be your own spring fling!

Let’s talk matching your face with your threads.

Add some shimmer and glam to your look! No one says you can’t sparkle while getting in touch with your dressed-down inner earth child. Try Zazi Pearl Highlighter across your cheek bones to add some awesome strobing with a Matte Eyeshadow in Aztec for a champagne feel without too much shimmer.

Harness Spring’s flowery energy by opting for neutral tones in your outfit with some fun patterns and keep a fresh face (that won’t clash) by keeping a bold winged eye liner, smear some Amythyst eye shadow to lighten the mood and finish with the Mona Lisa lipstick for a clean finish.

If it’s a crispy hamptons-resort style vibe you’re going for, then you’ll want to make a statement with your face. Bang out some grape with the Veriberry lippy from Zazi, team it with a golden-y subtle eye using Midas and finish it all off with a slight hint of pink on the cheeks with Galaxy Illuminator mineral blush!

And just like that, you are spring ready, smoking hot and super fresh. Remember to upload your selfies and pics to zazi on Instagram and Facebook and enter for #Zaziwoman each month!
